Gardening has always played a role in my life, sometimes a small role and others a larger one but it’s always been there in some form. As a young child my mother always had a large circular garden in our yard and some of my youngest memories are of time in the garden chasing around our large Irish Setter dog who was well known for stealing my Mom’s hard grown tomatoes. As a young adult in university, gardening definitely took a back set but even then, we had pots on the patio and spent hours landscaping our postage stamp backyard into a private garden space. Now, with my own kiddos and plenty of land to play with, we have numerous gardens and fruit trees. Gardening and canning is a highlight of our year as a family and our pantry is always filled with a variety of delicious things that have come from our garden. This month’s pattern is inspired by these cherished moments and the serene beauty of a well-loved garden corner.
