This year, I wanted to capture that feeling — that sense of simple wonder and nostalgia that has always made Christmastime feel like coming home. And from that spark, Threads of Christmas was born: a brand new nine-part stitch-along and story experience designed to fill your December with warmth, reflection, and a touch of holiday magic.
🎄 What Is the Threads of Christmas Stitch-Along?
Unlike a traditional cross-stitch project, this isn’t just a pattern — it’s a journey. Over the course of nine parts, you’ll receive sections of a beautiful design that tell a story both in thread and in words.
Each new release brings:
- A new section of the pattern — another piece of the picture to bring to life in cozy stitches.
- A chapter of an original Christmas story that unfolds alongside the design.
The story is deeply personal — inspired by my own childhood memories of Christmases spent in a small home tucked at the edge of the woods, where laughter and love filled the air, even when life was simple and humble. It’s a story of family, tradition, and the quiet, steadfast joy of making something beautiful together.

Threads of Christmas is written as a nostalgic tale that feels like stepping back into a treasured memory — the scent of cinnamon and pine, mittens drying by the fire, and a mother’s voice reading stories aloud as snow falls softly outside.
Each pattern piece corresponds with a part of the story — from the trudge through snowy woods to find the perfect tree, to evenings by the fire unwrapping a beloved Christmas book, to moments of quiet reflection about what it means to come home.
It’s meant to be more than a project. It’s a reminder of how our traditions, big and small, stitch together the fabric of our lives.

Then, beginning December 8th, you’ll start receiving your pattern sections and story chapters — one every two days — until the full project is complete.

🧡 Why I Created Threads of Christmas
This project is close to my heart because it reflects my own love of storytelling and stitching — two crafts that, in so many ways, are the same. Both are built one small piece at a time, both connect us to something bigger than ourselves, and both have a way of grounding us in the present while carrying memories of the past.
When I was a child, our Christmases weren’t lavish — we lived simply, but they were filled with wonder. I remember gathering around the radio on Christmas Eve to listen to The Littlest Angel, and the joy of waking on Christmas morning to the quiet magic of presents under the tree, beautiful music, and delicious food.
In the story, the mother is lovingly wrapping Christmas books for their annual book advent calendar — a tradition we didn’t have growing up, but one I’ve shared with my own kiddos for years. It’s such a special ritual that I wouldn’t be surprised if they carry it on with their own children someday. Those small moments, stitched together over the years, became my definition of Christmas magic.
And now, through this project, I hope to share that feeling with you.
