November has arrived and we sure got a big preview of the winter weather coming our way soon. Freezing rain, snow and ice pellets greeted us this morning and made for a miserable November day. However, inside we had the fire roaring and hot tea steeping and new cross stitch patterns on the go.
November is a month of remembrance in many places around the world. It is a time to focus on the sacrifices made by countless people so that we can enjoy the simple pleasures, such as sitting by a cozy fire and sipping tea on a weary November day. This month’s free pattern is dedicated to Remembrance Day. My hope is that it will offer you a few hours to sit and reflect on the sacrifices made by others in the past, the current state of the world, and the brave men and women who serve our beautiful countries. It is also a time to reflect on the things you can be grateful for.
Honoring and remembering the past is an integral part of being grateful for what we have today. So, grab a warm cup of tea, cuddle with your cat, and take some time to stitch our lovely red poppy as it sways in the breeze. This pattern can be stitched independently and finished in a frame or sewn into a beautiful pillow, or combine it with the September and October patterns for a larger piece.
Each month our newsletter contains a new pattern that can be stitched alone or added to your monthly collection. I’m hoping to release a frame for all the monthly patterns that you can use to combine them shortly so keep your eye open for that.
